About this item
An unusual variation of the Foreign Volunteer Arm Shield for the Turkistan Legion, the third design and issued in 1944.
The design shows a mosque and above the mosque are the words 'Tanri Biz Meneni", meaning "God is With Us". Very scarce shield.
This is the first I have seen being a printed oval Shield attached to a rectangular green cotton backing by means of a white embroidered oval surround.
Very good unissued condition and acquired by a French collector in the Normandy area along with others I will be listing.
