About this item
An original World War Two era British Army Khaki Drill Officers Tunic as worn throughout the conflict in both the Middle and Far eastern campaigns.
This tunic is typical of those worn in WW2 by the British Army and Royal Navy and features scolloped pockets, shorts sleeves and an original matching waist belt.
This construction of the tunic looks indian as is often the case with KD items. All the stitching is typical of Indian made items and all the button holes are hand sewn.
As with many Khaki Drill items, these trousers are impossible to date exactly as they have no label, date or markers mark. They are however typical of World War Two manufacture and could certainly have been made in the conflict.
The jacket has been heavily laundered leaving some marks as can be seen in the pictures. There is also some soiling to the interior which again is pictured. This is all reflected in the price.
Overall a reasonable wartime era British KD tunic which would be suitable for Royal Navy and British Army re-enactment or as part of a display.
