A thick and original 1944 dated book produced by His Majesty's Stationery Office, London. Book is a little fragile, staples corroded but still holding book together, general discolouration and slight creasing consistent with age. Outside cover has come loose, priced accordingly.
This series of books was produced by the British Government during the war to educate the public as to the progress of the war effort - may not be entirely impartial therefore. Inside the front cover contains the phrase 'There are men and women in the forces who would welcome a chance of reading this book. If you hand it in at the nearest Post Office, it will go to them'.
