For sale is a WW1 Interest Mr Punch’s History Of The Great War Published by Cassel and company Ltd london, New York, Toronto and Melbourne in 1919. Punch, or The London Charivari was a British weekly magazine of humour and satire established in 1841 by Henry Mayhew and wood-engraver Ebenezer Landells. Historically, it was most influential in the 1840s and 1850s, when it helped to coin the term "cartoon" in its modern sense as a humorous illustration. From 1850, John Tenniel was the chief cartoon artist at the magazine for over 50 years. Each of these cartoons are from ww1 period mr punch magazines representing the kaiser, British government, British politicians in satire ways.
This book has a note on the inside front cover stating the persons name followed by “P.o.w zzzz stalag xviii a, Wolfsberg, Austria, 1941-45” This is in good condition. This will be sent via Royal Mail 1st class signed for and dispatched within two working days.Additional Information
