    About this item

A stunning original pair of CC41 Brown pebbled leather boots in excellent condition and in a size 8.

These boots were made as part of the CC41 utility scheme which was brought into effect in the UK in 1941 as part of the larger rationing scheme. The aim of the scheme was that affordable, quality clothing would be available to everyone of every class and could be bought using coupons.

The boots are typical of those worn by civilians as well as British Army Officers throughout the 1940s. They are made from a brown coloured pebbled leather and feature a stitched toe cap, eight eyelets and a leather sole. Metal studs are fitted to the soles and heels meaning they were intended for field work and there appears to be a CC41 logo marked to the sole. The boots feature a fantastic and period heel shape as can be seen in pictures 5 and 6.

The boots feature a leather lining which is often found on high quality boots. The lining has been marked with the CC41 logo as well as the style number of U606 and the size of 8. The size is marked again to the insole as detailed in picture 8.

The boots are in excellent condition as can be seen in the pictures. They display very well with only limited signs of age to the soles. They look to be unworn, new old stock boots which is something very hard to find today.

Altogether these are a very nice pair of original boots which are in great condition. They would make a great addition to any wardrobe or collection!
