An original British War Medal with length of original ribbon, correctly named to;
15342 PTE. P. J. COOKE. R. WAR. R.
Percy Cooke is confirmed as being entitled to a pair on the MIC. He is noted on 'Soldiers Died' as having served with the 9th Battalion (attached from the 4th Bn) and having died on 7 July 1916. He hailed from Astwood Bank in Worcestershire.
Whilst his death is not recorded on the MIC, he is on CWGC, as being buried in Amara War Cemetery.
