    About this item

Produced for the British military from 1945 the rugged 15 Jewel mechanical Record WWW (Wrist watch Waterproof) has a 36mm plated brass case with stainless steel back plate.

Now known as one of the “dirty dozen”, which refers to the 12 desirable British military watches of the same period, it has a black dial with luminous hands and markers.

The movement is a Cal. 022 K A, signed Record. It is in very good working order, the watch keeping excellent time.   The dial is original and has the correct “Train Track” minute divisions on the outer edge. At 12 o’clock is the maker’s name, Record and the War Department Arrow. At 6 o’clock is the subsidiary second dial and hand.

The back plate is marked WWW, WD arrow, L29742 and 547589 which is repeated on the inside of the plate.

The strap bars are fixed with one lug marked 015. A very good 18mm Hirsch leather strap is fitted.

Overall condition is very good, with wear to the case plating and darkening to the luminous hour markers.

The Watch is sold and will arrive in good working order but is not guaranteed.
