Awarded to Private Thomas Henderson of the 72 Highlanders Regiment. Crimea Medal, Clasp Sebastopol (3042. THOMAS HENDERSON. 72. HIGHLANDERS.) and Turkish Crimea Medal 'Sardinian issue' (not named.) Records confirm Private Thomas Henderson as receiving of the Crimea Medal with Sebastopol clasp. Born in the parish of Perth 23rd August 1834. On joining the army his civilian trade was recorded as weaver. Papers indicate that Private Thomas Henderson joined the British Army on the 23rd August 1854. After a short period of service Private Thomas Henderson was discharged from the regiment on the 6th January 1857. (with copy service papers & medal roll)
