About this item
A good double barrelled flintlock pocket pistol by Hartnell of Cirencester.
A good example of a small tap action pocket pistol, circa 1810. The brass box lock signed "Hartnell" to the left hand side and "Cirencester" to the right along with foliate engraving. Good strong mechanism cocking crisply and holding on half and full cock. Stiff frizzen spring and working sliding safety catch. One screw absent from the top of the action.
Birmingham proof marks.
Slab sided walnut butt with vacant silver oval escutcheon. Butt screws appear to be period replacements.
Steel barrels 1.5 inches in length. 5.75 inches in total.
Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
