    About this item

A good early 20thC Nepalese Kothimora Kukri.

The kukri with beautiful and intricately carved grip ring and unusal decorated steel bolster. The hardwood grip also has an unusal domed pommel. The sirupate style blade with twin fullers, measuring 11.75 inches. The blade is well honed, exhibiting signs of sharpening, and holds a razor edge. 15 inches overall.

The kothimora scabbard with silver mounts, sangli chain and khissa pouch. The central medalion showing a peacock, may well be of a low carat gold. It is studded in four corners with cabochon turquoise stones, the two upper examples remaining intact.

    A stunning traditional kukri.
