Awarded to 4195 Private M. Notley 1st Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment with the Natal Field Force. Queen South Africa: (4195 PTE. M. NOTLEY, GLOUC: REGT.) Saw service in South Africa, Boar War Campaign see action in Natal, Orange Free State and Transvaal. Private M. Notley was attached to 38 Company, 1st Service Section. Records reported him as missing in action on casualty roll. He was later released at Farquhar’s Farm on the 30th October 1899. Recipient is also entitled to Kings South Africa medal. The Queen South Africa medal comes complete with original ornate silver buckle bar. Medal ghost dated. (with copy medal roll and casualty details).
