    About this item

    A Luftwaffe Wehrpass dated 25/4/1936 and POW discharge document dated 18/6/1945 for Unteroffizier Freidrich Bienlein of 1 Batterie,1/ Flak -Regiment 12.  He fought throughout the war and was decorated six times with the iron cross 1st and 2nd class plus Flak badge and wound in Black. He initially served in home defence engaging RAF bomber raids, moving to southern Germany against USAAF aircraft. By January 1943 he movies to Italy and was involved in the fighting around Anzio and the Nettuno front finally surrendering to the US army in northern Italy. The wehrpass is in good condition and is accompanied with his POW discharge paperwork. There is a full translation of his wartime service, of a highly decorated soldier.
