    About this item

This rare 1941 poster is in both German on the left and side and Czech on the right hand side. This poster is an informative/ warning poster to the Czechs, warning them that any attempt to disrupt day to day life, to listen to foreign radios, to take atlas against the German & occupied Czech authority will be met with severe consequences. This is an incredibly rare poster in which it measures 67cm

In height x 102cm in length. A rough translation can be seen below:   “Czech fellow citizens!    A small number of individuals have irresponsibly jeopardized their own fate, indeed the fate of the people as a whole. The Reich was forced to take emphatic precautions to ensure public peace, safety at work and order in the catering system. Through work and discipline you have proved that the majority of you are clearly aware of your duty to the Reich and to your homeland.    Don't forget for a moment that it's war! We don't fight with guns in hand, but we should and want to form a secure hinterland for the victory of the Reich and a new Europe with the ploughshare, fight with the hammer and with the spirit. None of those who left our people in their difficult hours of fate, and especially none of those who entered the service of those who betrayed us, have a right to enter our inner workings. opportunities to talk in. The government rejects any interference by the Czech emigrants led by Beneš in our affairs and the incitement of foreign emigre radio.    It is below your maturity and your responsibility to listen to the fantastical lies. Be deaf to foreign and émigré radio propaganda! All who disobey will be mercilessly held accountable. Whispering propaganda is the accomplice of slanderous propaganda abroad and propaganda of Czech emigrants. It is equally criminal and dangerous for the fate of the people and is also prosecuted with the severest penalties.    In your own interest and in the interest of the whole people, stand up vigorously against those who support the foreign gamblers and against their Jewish accomplices! Devote yourself to your own work and strive to make it even better! Don't talk in vain: Don't dwell on matters which are the sole responsibility of the President and the Government! Let us rally around our President in a unified working community! Let us strive to secure the future of our people within the framework of the mighty empire through discipline, work, achievements and through loyalty to be expressed in deeds!    Prague, November 6, 1941.    The Government of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Signed: The official deputy of the chairman of the governing body    D. Krejčí e.”   This poster is incredibly rare and in good condition.
