An extremely rare 1916 dated Elevation Wheel Cover for the British Vickers Machine Gun.
Approximately 135mm in diameter the Cover is constructed in two parts in brass and closed by two winged bolts, one of which is missing.
The face is calibrated in degrees of elevation, up and down and marked C B & S 1916 and Mk1V.
Very good overall condition with just two slight surface scores.
This is the only one I have ever seen
