WW1 1916 Original Military Issue Union Jack Flag Large.
An incredibly rare original and only the second example of an original Great War Period British Union Flag I have handled.
This cotton bunting example, complete with original rope and correct brass fittings. Clear original makers stamp “W Holmes & Son Ltd London 1916”. Also stamped Union 6 BDS (6 Base Depot Supplies, possibly issued at Rouen home of 6 Infantry Base Depot France ). The flag has been flown with a few small moth holes. Clean Condition.
