A rare example of the pattern worn by the FAA, made of white soft leather closely conforming to the late Navy C Type flying helmet. This example has been personalised with a aircraft roundel to the crown and the interior appears to have a Liverpool address written. Both ear cups retaining working zips and a blind tooled issue crown and anchor can be seen. The leather remains soft and supple, but with service and some storage wear.
