    WW1 RFC / RAF MkI War Department Issue Flying Helmet.
    A rare example of the regulation issue pattern. Brown leather with leather chinstrap. The interior retains a larger amount of fur lining and blanket lining. Heavy use and age wear (see photographs). Leather now a dark oil colour.
