    About this item

WW1 RFC RNAS Early RAF Pilot’s Flying Helmet.

A good original example of a Great War period flying helmet worn by a Pilot or Observer. Tailored from brown leather, with padded rolls and flap to each side. The flap is attached via three early style open brass press studs (one absent). The interior with a blanket lining and complete with thin leather chin strap. The overall condition is good, the leather is a good colour and supple. One very small hole to leather see photograph.
