Spange to the Iron Cross Second Class
A very good example of a Spange (Bar- Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz) to the Iron Cross Second Class on what appears to be it’s original tunic removed ribbon.
The Spange itself is non maker marked and in excellent condition, retaining most of the original frosting. The ribbon is very good and shows signs of having been stitched to a uniform.
Displayed on the uniforms of German Wehrmacht personnel who had been awarded the Iron Cross in World War I, and who again qualified for the decoration in World War II, over 100,000 clasps were awarded during WW11
