About this item
An original Royal Air Force Officers Khaki Drill Service Dress tunic dating from the 1960s and in good condition.
This pattern of tunic remained unchanged from the pre Second World War period through to the 1960s. It is made from a light tank coloured cotton drill and features a four button closure to the front, pleated chest pockets with scalloped flaps and bellows pockets to the skirt. The epaulettes are sewn in and feature Wing Commander insignia. All the buttons are Queen's crown 'staybrite' RAF examples and the waist belt buckle is also 'Staybrite'.
The tunic will fit a 38" chest and when laid flat measures -
Chest - 21"
Inside arm - 17"
Outside arm - 23 3/4"
Waist - 18"
Shoulders - 18 1/2"
Length - 30"
The tunic is in good condition as can be seen in the pictures. Overall it displays well and is very wearable but is a vintage item so may have small issues commensurate with age.
A nice original RAF officers tunic in good condition.
