Original 1964 Dated Women's Military Raincoat - Size 1

An original 1964 dated British military women's raincoat made by 'Kattenburgs Ltd'.

Officially designated 'Coats. Rainproof Womens', this pattern of coat was issued to women serving in the Women's Royal Army Corps. It is a classic design which could easily pass as being from an earlier decade. It features a double breasted front, slash pockets and a matching waist belt. There is a full lining and a hanging loop at the next. 

Inside the coat the original label is still present and is completely legible. It states the size as No. 1 which is designed to fit a 34" bust. The 1964 date is present as is the War Department broad arrow marking. The original owner has added a name tag which bears the serial number of W425453 and the name os Southall.

The coat is a smaller size and when laid flat it measures - 

Chest - 20"
Inside arm - 16"
Outside arm - 22"
Shoulders - 18"
Length - 39"

The coat is in worn condition with various signs of wear and use. It is still totally wearable and displays well enough but does have some marks and staining. Please study the pictures before purchasing.
