About this item
An original United States Marine Corps coches style jacket made by 'Fordham' in the 1970s.
This jacket features a red coloured nylon outer shell and the front fastens with metal press studs. It bears the USMC logo to the front left breast in yellow which matches the yellow coloured jersey lining. There are two slash pockets located to the front and a drawstring along the bottom edge.
Inside the coat the original label is present at the neck and bears the maker's name of 'Fordham Quality Casuals Fairfield N. J.' below which is a size tag which denotes the jacket as a medium. Fordham were a prolific manufacturer of varsity jackets and sports clothing during this period and also made for the military.
The jacket will fit up to a 44" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat it measures -
Chest - 24 1/2"
Inside arm - 19 1/2"
Outside arm - 25"
Shoulders - 18"
Length - 29 1/2"
The jacket is in good condition with some limited signs of wear and age. Overall it displays very well and is still totally wearable but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a pre-worn, vintage item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A nice original USMC jacket with some great details.
