    About this item

For sale is a WW1 British Victory & War Medal Duo To Pte A Reeveley South Staffordshire Regiment.    Both of these ww1 medals are engraved with the following; “28749. Pte. A. Reeveley. S.Staff.R.”   Albert Reeveley was born in 1881 in Staxton, Yorkshire, England. His street address upon enlistment was Staxton Ganton Yorks. By 1911 Albert Reeveley was married to Elizabeth Reeveley, and had three kids who were named and aged in 1911 as the following; Florry Reeveley (Age 8), Cyril Reeveley (Age 6) and the youngest Stanley Plilp Jefferson (age 2). Alberts trade before enlistment was listed as a farm Labourer.   Albert Reeveley was aged 34, upon enlisting in 1914, where he served until 1919 until he was discharged. Albert was entitled to a ww1 war medal, ww1 victory medal and a 1914-1915 star. Unfortunately only two of these medals are present the ww1 war medal & the ww1 victory medal.    During alberts service he started in the South Staffordshire regiment, and then was transferred to East Yorkshire regiment, and then again transferred to the Labour corps and then finally transferred to the Royal Engineers, where he was awarded the three ww1 medals.    Accompanying this medal is 3 scans of his service records.
