For sale is a WW1 British Victory & War Medal To Pte H G Huette Machine Gun Corps.
This ww1 victory medal and war medal are engraved to “”8342 Pte H G Huette MGC”. Henry G Huette was born in Oxfordshire on the 18th of June 1882, his trade upon enlistment was a butler for Sir Edward Hussey Packe & Mary Packe. Sir Edward Hussey Packe was appointed a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) in 1920. He was also awarded the Legion of Honour and the Order of Crown of Italy. Henry served in the machine gun corps under the service number 8342, and for the royal Berkshire regiment under the service number 19574. Henry was entitled to the British war medal and victory medal which are both present. Accompanying these medals are 4 scans of his service records.
