For sale is a WW1 British War Medal To Dvr P Joyce Royal Artillery.Peter Joyce was born in 1896 and his religious beliefs was that he was a Roman Catholic. Peter enlisted into the British army on the 27th of May 1915 aged 19 years of age. Peter served the royal field artillery under the rank of driver and service number L/26955. He also served with the royal garrison artillery under the rank of gunner and service number 197322. After less than a year of training in England Peter served in France from the 5th of March 1916 until the 16th of February 1918. Peter also spent some time in hospital due to an unknown illness which an be seen in his records. Peter then transferred from the royal field artillery on the 19th February 1919 to the reserves. Peter was entitled to a victory medal and British war medal for his service to his country. Unfortunately only the war medal is present. Accompanying this medal is 6 scans of his service records.
