    About this item

For sale is a WW1 Farther & WW2 Son Harrison Family Framed Medal Group.

The fathers victory and war medal are both engraved on the rim “266379 Pte a e Harrison r s fus”.   Augustus Enoch Harrison was born in 1889 and sadly passed away in 1963 in Warwick. He was married to Elsie Wright who was born 1890 and died in 1981 in Birmingham. Before signing up to the British army Augustus trade upon enlistment was a general clerk in which he lived at 35 Holyhead Road, Handsworth, Staffordshire. Unfortunately we’re not to sure when he signed up into the British army but he was entitled to a victory medal and a British war medal whilst serving with the royal Scottish fusiliers and the Labour corps.    The son Kenneth J Harrison was a sergeant and enlisted in 1943 aged 17 years of age he served with the home guard and was entitled to a 1939-45 star and a war medal which are both present in the frame. Kenneth was born on the 7th of July 1925 and lived at 101 Oakwood road, birmingham in Warwickshire.    Accompanying this medal is 6 scans of their service records. Upon payment please let me know if you would prefer digital scans or printed copies. There is still plenty of research to be done on this medal!    This will be sent via royal mail 1st class signed for as a small parcel and dispatched within two working days.
