For sale is WW1 French Red Cross Medal Citation Bronze Palm Leaves (1 Year Wartime Nursing).
French Red Cross, of the Union of the Women of France (UFF) medal citation which is a bronze palms for 1 year of service as a nurse during war time. The UFF was established in 1881 by Mrs. Koechlin-Schwart. Its aim was purely humanitarian (aiding the wounded combatants in war time and providing support to public agencies in time of national catastrophe or need). In 1940, the UFF together with the French Society of Aiding the Wounded and the Association of French Ladies merged and created the French Red Cross. This is in good condition and has its two pins on the back to attach to a medal ribbon. Please note this is a rare Citation!
