Awarded to “2 Lieut H.S. Coles”. Comprising: British War Medal and Victory Medal, GC mounted as worn ... Accompanied by a 1915 hallmarked silver “ID” bracelet , this engraved “H.S. Coles 7th Middlesex Reg Attached 1/5 Lincolnshire”. Complete with chain
Lieutenant Herbert Scammell Coles before the Great War he had worked with the Prudential Assurance Company and after serving in the ranks of the HAC was commissioned into the 7th Bn Middlesex Regiment on the 13th July 1915. He landed in France after January 1916 and the issue of the pair only is confirmed.
