A very good example of a 1917 dated British 08 Pattern webbing Frog complete with 1917 dated Wire Cutters, know correctly as Frog, cutter, wire, folding. (Mark I.)
The Webbing frog is in excellent undamaged condition, the inside of the closure flap clearly stamped M.E.Co. 1917 with the war department arrow. On the rear of the frog is a belt loop and brass loop for the attachment of a lanyard to the cutters when in use.
The Wire cutters themselves are also 1917 dated by Charterlea Ltd and in very good condition.
