A single and very good 1917 dated Carrier for the Lewis Gun Magazines, nicknamed Lewis Buckets, that buckled together containing 4 magazines each weighing a total of 36 lbs. (16.4 kg). No magazines are included
These were introduced on November 27th 1915 .This single “Bucket” has had the buckle removed and a section stitched into the strap to allow for individual carrying.
Overall condition is very good with one of the twist closure clips missing.
