An excellent example of this scarce pattern. These compact binoculars were introduced during WWII for issue to Airborne troops. This set bears the maker H.Hughes & son London on the forward bridge . The optics are clear and there is no damage to the Bakelite body covering. Minor wear to the black paint finish. Complete with strap and original leather case which bears no makers stamps or marks . A set is shown being worn by Major General Browning on page 203 of Davis. "British Army Uniforms & Insignia of WWII ".
