For sale is an original WW1 British In Memoriam Of King George V Funeral Booklet 1865-1936.
The front cover has a photograph of King George V on the front, with a purple boarder, and the words “in memoriam ” on the front. The inside cover states “His majesty king George V. Born 3rd June 1865 and died 20th January 1936.” The next side states: “In Memoriam- Our Gracious king." The King is dead, And round his Royal bed An Empire mourns Its well-beloved head. Thus, in the quiet night He passed into the light And as the whole world knows "His life moved peacefully Towards its close." Through many years, 'Midst joy and tears, He played his Kingly part; And by his simple life, Unspoiled by care or strife, We won the steadfast lobe Of his great peoples' heart. The King is dead: But let this now be said: The lives in lives made nobler By the noble life he led." 64 -Alan Junior.” The back states “Valentines series printed in Great Britain” This is in good condition.
