For sale is a WW1 German Submarine UC95, one of the hun pirates, Now A Prisoner In The Thames Postcard. This postcard is in good condition, and was posted, with a message on the back.
“Dear Rex There are two of these U-boats here at Westminster, every day there are crowds to see them. Love to all Clive” SM UC-95 was a German Type UC III minelaying submarine or U-boat in the German Imperial Navy (German: Kaiserliche Marine) during World War I. The U-boat was ordered on 12 January 1916 and was launched on 19 February 1918. She was commissioned into the German Imperial Navy on 16 September 1918 as SM UC-95.[Note 1] As with the rest of the completed UC III boats, UC-95 conducted no war patrols and sank no ships. She was surrendered on 22 November 1918 and broken up in Fareham in 1922.
