    For sale is a WW1 “Mentioned In Despatch” Certificate To Sgt E Campbell 2nd Bn Cameron Highlanders. 

      This certificate states the following;   “The War of 1914-1918. Cameron Highlanders 7733 Sjt. 8. Campbell, 2nd Bn. was mentioned in a Despatch from General Sir G F Milne KCB, KCMG, DSO dated 9th March 1919 for gallant and distinguished services in the Field. I have it in command from the King to record His Majesty's high appreciation of the services rendered. War Office Whitehall.S.W July 2010. Secretary of State for War”   This was awarded to sergeant Edward Campbell who served with the 2nd Cameron Highlanders On the 3rd June 1919, whilst Edward was serving in Salonika (now known as Thessaloniki a city in Greece).    Edward entered the French theatre of war on the 19th of December 1914. Edward was entitled to a victory medal, British war medal and 1914-15 star. Unfortunately these are missing.    Accompanying this certificate is 4 scans of his service records. Upon payment please let me know if you would prefer digital scans or printed copies. There is still plenty of research to be done on this certificate!    These will be sent via royal mail 1st class signed for and dispatched within two working days.
