For sale is a Rare WW2 South African Cape Town Victory Day Del Monico Signed Satire Menu.
This beautifully decorated victory menu is from Del Monico in Cape Town, South Africa and has 15 signatures on. The front is decorated with allied flags & allied leaders portraits, followed by victory colour celebrations. The back is very satire in nature and starts of by saying “Our Chef Does NOT Recommend The Following;” some of the following are listed below, the rest can be seen in the photos for more details. “Victory pudding with RAF Incendiary sauce Jap panzercakes (Vellee Smellee) you tellee me German lick yours a Rhine Fried fish and blitz Gebraaide Ribbentrop with white flag jelly” Etc! This is a very interesting piece of victory ephemera, and would look excellent mounted in a double sided frame!
