For sale is a WW2 Victory In Europe Day “Singing In Chewing-Guy Rain Wall Plaque which is unfortunately missing the string.

    This is titled:     Singing in (chewing-gum) ‘Rain’     Below the title is a photograph and a caption stating:     “The crowd outside the American Red Cross Club, Edinburgh, on VE-Day, when showers of chewing- gum and cigarees were thrown from the windows and balconies by Servicemen. The singing and cheering outside the club,, after Mr Churchill's broadcast, marked one of the earliest manifestations of gaiety in the city.”     The back is marked:     “VE-DAY, 8th May 1945”       This will be sent via Royal Mail 1st class signed for and dispatched within two working days.
