About this item
An extremely nice example of an originally badged 37 Pattern British Battledress Blouse in a large size 16.
Dated 1941 the Blouse is in very good condition showing very little signs of wear and free from moth damage with just two very small “nicks” on the sleeves, possibly from previous attached badges.
Absolutely correct for the insignia worn by the 9th Bn The Buffs whilst serving in the 55th Division between September 1943 and July 1944 each sleeve carries a printed Buffs Shoulder Title, the early formation sign on a wool background, a red infantry arm of service stripe and the Buffs regimental designation stripe.
All buttons are concealed and of two part brass construction. There are no rank markings but close inspections suggests the shoulder straps once had rank pips, perhaps to a Captain.
A Buffs Cap Badge found in a pocket is included
