Comprising Queen South Africa with ghost dates with bars Cape Colony, Wittebergen. Named to “6164 Pte A Inskip Lanc Fus M.I.” ... Kings South Africa with bars South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 named to “6329 Pte J Inskip Lanc Fus”. Medals loose.
I blieve issued to be the same man as there is no J Inskip on QSA roll and no J Inskip serving with the Lancs Fus eligible for a QSA but a Private J Inskip 2nd Batt Lancs Fus is named on the KSA roll. Private Arthur Inskip 3rd Batt Lanc Fus 2nd Malta Company 9th Batt Mounted Infantry was awarded a QSA, clasps confirmed. Possibly a clerical error at the time on the initial and change of serial number with move from 3rd to 2nd Bn. Private Arthur Inskip a native of Stoke in Staffordshire is confirmed as been awarded this medal and clasp combination.
