An original two war medal grouping, comprising the Queens South Africa Medal (with Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal and South Africa 1902 clasps), the 1914/15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal, with reproduction ribbons. Named as follows;
QSA - 9621 SPR. W. CROWTHER. R.E.
1914/15 Star - 6305 2. CPL. W. CROWTHER, R.E.
British War Medal and Victory Medal - 6305 A. SJT. W. CROWTHER. R.E.
The QSA medal rolls show he served with the 12th Field Company and confirms his entitlement to the four clasps.
Walter Crowther's entitlement to the 15 trio is confirmed on the Medal Index Card that shows on 12 July 1915 he arrived in theatre 3 - the Egyptian Theatre.
