About this item
An original World War Two to Korean War grouping. Comprises;
1. A slot brooch (denoting WW2 issue) Bronze Star, un-named,
2. A slot brooch Purple Heart, un-named but numbered 601694. I believe this denotes World War Two manufacture by Shields Inc. (I have seen the box for 600818 that wa dated 7 July 1943),
3. A World War II Victory Medal,
4. A United Nations Korea Medal, unusually this appears to be the South Korean issue,
5. A Combat Infantry Badge, marked G-23 and post-WW2, clutch back,
6. A pair of clutch back Captain's bars, un-marked,
7. A pair of 2nd Lieutenant bars, clutch back, un-marked,
8. A single Major's rank oak leaf, smaller variant, clutch back (no clutches),
9. A 101st Airborne patch, I suspect this to be a Type 10 patch, so issued between late World War Two and Vietnam.
