    Awarded to “12696 PTE S J SMITH S STAFF R”.
    Comprising: 1914/15 Star, Victory Medal. Medals loose no ribbons.

    Private Stewart James Smith was a native of Birmingham and lived at Stirchley War. Enlisting into the South Staffordshire regiment he landed in France on the 24th August 1915 and Died of Wounds whilst serving with the 9th (Pioneer) Battalion on the 11th May 1917.
