WW1 Australian 3rd Bn Gallipoli Casualty Pair of Medals.
Comprising: 1914/15 Star, Victory Medal awarded to 1283 SJT R.D. JONES 3-BN A.I.F. Retaining original ribbons, wear to medals BWM absent.
Sergeant Robert Jones was born in Carnarvon, Wales and emigrated to Australia he enlisted at Kensington, New South Wales and served with the 3rd Bn AIF. Prometed to Sergeant in September 1914. He landed with the Battalion at Gallipoli and was Killed in Action on the 27th April 1915.
