British War Medal and Victory Medal “E. MACKENZIE B.R.C.S & S.J.J”.
Medals loos with original ribbons.
Mr Edgar C MacKenzie from West Hampstead at the age of 18 Volunteered for service with the British Red Cross and Saint John of Jerusalem on the 16th August 1915 as an orderly. His Red Cross record shows he served in France from August 1915 until 1919.
His MIC shows him landing on the 16th August 1915. His medal was issued under the name E MacKenzie and his pair as E.C. MacKenzie, this explaining the name on the medals.
