    About this item

A 12mm Pinfire revolving rifle by Lefaucheux of Belgium, circa 1860.

A good and scarce example, having possible military connections. Serial no. 942, which may indicate a small unit purchase.

25 1/2in. octagonal barrel. The left hand side of barrel at the breech is marked "C. LEFAUCHEUX A BREVETE". Dove-tailed fore-sight and bayonet bar at muzzle, standing notch rear-sight, florally engraved open iron frame with full pin shield, plain ratchet indexing cylinder, with Liege proof marks.

Double action mechanism with spurred hammer and guarded trigger with spur, walnut straight hand chequered stock (chequering worn in parts), iron heel-plate and plunge ejector.

Mechanicially excellent, the whole weapon now lacking original finish with some light pitting.

Sold as an exempt item under Section 58 (2) of the 1968 Firearms Act, to be held as a curiosity or ornament.

Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.

    UK Sales Only.
