Kent Cyclist Battalion Officer’s peaked cap circa 1910-20.
A fine rare example by Hobson & Sons. of dark blue cloth with scarlet piping to the welt of the crown. The front bearing silvered ca badge of the White Horse of Kent resting on ‘Invicta’ scroll. Retains both unique battalion special pattern gilt buttons supporting black patent leather chinstrap. Deep white leather sweatband. Complete with detachable white linen cover. Formed 1908 as 6th (Cyclist) Bn. QORWK; 1910 redesignated Kent Cyclist Bn. HQ at Tonbridge. Transferred to RA 1920
