About this item
Once on display at the Fortress Museum in Jersey and sold to a collector in the UK when the museum closed, this example of the Kriegsmarine Officer’s Bordmutze is constructed in a nice quality navy blue ribbed wool.
The sloping side panels are trimmed with a 3mm wide golden web cord with double row of stitching below and with a golden BeVo weave eagle machine applied above the rayon cockade, again machine applied.
The interior of the cap is fully lined in black rayon. The cap is roughly size 56. Overall condition is very good with one very small moth nip which I have shown in the images.
