Special Air Service SAS Pattern Beret.
A good scarce early example of the special pattern beige beret, retaining original cloth embroidered winged dagger badge. Leather sweatband with black cotton lining. Some service wear and period repair to the crown. There is no visible WD issue stamps or codes. Approx Did of crown 9 1/2 inches
This is very good period example, I would like to say definitely a WW2 period but could easily be an early Malay Emergency period. There is no doubt it remains a very good early example of the special SAS pattern.
