A WWII early war helmet which has a clear 1938 dated liner , The helmet looks like it was a NFS example which was handed over to the civil defence and then used by the home guard it has the typical green grey paint for the NFS to the inside with the remains of patches of black paint on the inside rim area the been repainted in the typical home guard green colour by hand over the top of the other paints the chine strap has some intials on it see pics
