A good example of a 1902 pattern WW1 British tunic and matching cap (All from the same family to a sergeant of the K.S.L.I. Kings Shropshire Light Intantry. Complete with all brass general service buttons buttons and two darts (pleats) under each collar. Brass Shropshire shoulder titles and KSLI Light infantry horns. Light scattered moth (nothing too bad). Unusual to find the matching cap worn by the same soldier who wore the tunic. War Department stamp, number above W.D and letter L below. Rifle patches of a slightly different hue indicates a shortage of material and need to avoid any waste lining. Measures 36 inch chest.
Denim cotton cap free from wear or damage. Black waterproof lining shows some wear. Cap is complete with a narrow leather chin strap and brass general service buttons. War Department stamp, number 19 above W.D and letter P below.
