About this item
A near excellent example of a 1937 second pattern, DAF-Werkscharen personnel’s field cap. Constructed in a dark blue wool with blue rayon piping representing Orts (local) level
The front centre of the cap has a machine woven national eagle with outstretched wings in bright silver/aluminum flat-wire threads on a black woven rayon inverted triangular base positioned above two, small, pebbled, magnetic sheet metal, buttons.
The interior is fully lined in black rayon, with a partial tan leather sweatband to the front section. There is an RZM/DAF tag with white printed script and black ink stamped manufacturers numerical code which includes both the RZM and DAF cogwheel logos and script, "Mütze für Werkscharen der DAF", (Cap for Labour Squads of the DAF).
The owner has also entered his name.
Overall condition is very good and completely free from damage of any kind.
